Various Recycling Programs

Electronic Recycling Program

The Borough offers an electronic recycling program for residents. We will collect up to 2 televisions, monitors, and printers per year per resident address at no expense to you. Please call Borough Hall at 610-929-8700 to arrange for pickup. The office staff will call to inform you of your scheduled pickup day in advance. The item must be placed at the curb the night before the scheduled pickup date to ensure it is picked up the next morning.

Tire Collections

Laureldale also offers a Tire recycling program for residents. We will collect up to 4 tires per year per resident address. Tires can be with or without rims. Please contact Borough Hall at 610-929-8700 to schedule a pickup. On your scheduled day, please be sure to have the tires at the curb the night before to ensure they are picked up the next morning. No tractor or oversized tires can be accepted.

Waste Oil Collection & Car Batteries

Laureldale Borough has partnered with Life and Liberty Motors for the collection of waste oil and used car batteries. Please contact them at 610-741-6377 to schedule a drop-off.

Flag Collection

Flag Collection will now be available in the appropriate drop boxes. There are 2 drops conveniently located within the borough. Central Fire Company (1409 Park Pl, Laureldale PA 19605) and the Muhlenberg Community Library (3612 Kutztown Rd, Reading PA 19605) are two locations where you may deposit old US flags for proper retirement.

Scrap Metal Recycling

If you have scrap metal or other recyclable items that you would like to have disposed of, please contact Al Correnti at 484-908-3026 to schedule a pickup.

Miscellaneous Disposal of Household Items

Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, aluminum cans/plastic bottles and containers can all be disposed of for free at the Berks County Recycling Center located at 1316 Hilltop Road, Leesport. The Recycling Center is open Tuesdays/Thursdays/ Saturdays from 8am-12pm.
